It all begins with an engagement ring… the announcement… then the grand finale... your wedding day! You are in the midst of one of the most emotional and significant journeys in your lifetime, all along with your best friend right beside you; your fiancé.
A wedding is a day of public devotion between two people in love. A day shared with your closest family and friends, where you celebrate the love and happiness found in one another.
As a marriage celebrant I want you to enjoy the journey in writing and developing your ceremony. You will find my nature relaxed, easy to approach and together we will go through many options and ideas for your ceremony. Often our meetings will be over coffee, in fact, we will talk a lot whether it be in person, by phone, email or text, we will go back and forth until you are happy and excited with your ceremony.
A key factor to a great ceremony is light and shade and there are so many different ways to give your ceremony character. Whether you are after a traditional ceremony or a more personalised ceremony, whether you are after something short or more in depth, your ceremony should always have light and shade.
Light and shade is given in many ways and is easily adapted in a ceremony. Be it with personalised vows, readings, rituals, music, involving guests, family or possibly your children; all of these components spark the emotions in your guests, leaving them delighted to be witness to your marriage.
Most importantly, I believe weddings should be about you, the bride and groom, having fun and relaxing after so much planning and anticipation!
